Digital printing is a printing system in which ink is impressed directly onto the substrate to be printed, directly from the digital file, without intermediate steps (films, printing plates, machine start-up).

Digital printing is particularly convenient for short runs – there is no need for a minimum number of copies to amortise printing start-up costs – today, it has become an excellent alternative to traditional printing methods.
